AUSTIN, Texas-Two months ago, Texas would have avoided any direct talk of playing for a national title.

During Tuesday's University of Central Florida football weekly press conference, questions were on rapid fire concerning their upcoming game at Texas next weekend.

George O'Leary has a perfect opportunity on Saturday to turn down the temperature on his seat. ?The Knights will do battle with the nation's number two team, the Texas Longhorns.

Since 2002, the UCF Knights football squad has gone just over .500 in November with 16 wins and 13 losses. There seems to be no consistent rule of thumb for the eleventh month of the year; in 2003 and 2004. The black and gold were winless in their November games, however, in 2007, they went undefeated for the entire month.

After seven games of football, the UCF Knights have proven themselves as a decent ball club. They stand at 4-3 overall and at 2-2 in the conference, they still have a prime shot to compete for the C-USA Championship.
